DATELINE: SYNGE STREET CBS

Postscript – Immersion / Fast Forward India Team

The diary which was posted on the school website (www.syngestreet.com) contains the outlines of the various day events as they occurred. We do hope that you have enjoyed these daily updates, even if they did not appear on each day as we had hoped. The reason for them not appearing each day is very simple – we were far too busy with each day practically bursting with events.

Our visits also involved making several donations to the people we met along the way. We hope that you will understand that these are private to those who received them. It was not our intention to have a ‘help India’ form of visit. We intended to learn from those we encountered. Our intention, in the spirit of the Immersion Project, was to ‘be with the people’. We achieved this. We also believe that we have taken something far more precious from India, life-enhancing memories, than we ever left there.
